DUSTIN COOK
Born in Toronto, Cook has lived in Lac-Sainte-Marie since he was ten. When he was five he competed in his first ski race, and when he was twelve he made the regional high performance ski team. Cook has 23 Nor-Am Cup podiums, ranking him tied for fifth among men for most podiums in Nor-Am Cup history as of the end of the 2014/15 season.
His first podium came in 2015 at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2015 when he finished 2nd in the Super G at Beaver Creek. Cook became the first Canadian man to medal in a Super G at the World Championships. He also finished twelfth in Giant Slalom at the World Championships one week later. His first FIS Alpine World Cup podium came one month later when he finished 3rd in the Super G at Kvitfjell. He won his first race eleven days later at the World Cup Finals in Meribel. Cook finished the 2015 season with five top twenty World Cup finishes, in addition to his two podiums and World Championship medal. He finished the 2015 season ranked 5th in Super G, and 30th in Giant Slalom.
With his World Championship medal Cook became the eighth and final member of the Canadian Cowboys.

ALEX PUENTE TASIAS
Alex was born in Barcelona and raised in a small valley called Val d'Aran. This valley is home to the renowned Baqueira Beret ski resort.
His life has been dedicated to skiing, having been a member of the Spanish national team for almost a decade. Alex’s competitive career includes participation in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, two World Ski Championships (Åre 2019 and Cortina 2021), and 73 starts in the Europa Cup.
Some of his best results are as follows:
- 20th place at the World Ski Championship in Cortina d’Ampezzo, 2021 (Italy), Slalom
- 32nd place at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (Russia), Slalom
- Seven times finished in the top 20 in the Europa Cup, achieving an 11th place as my highest position
- Champion of the South American Cup (SAC) 2019 in Giant Slalom
- Consistently ranked in the top 100 in the world over four years
- Five-time Spanish Ski Champion
ABBY GENT-COOK
Abby Ghent hails from Vail, CO. She qualified onto the US Ski Team when she was 17 and went on to win multiple season titles on the NorAm circuit, and raced on the World Cup for five seasons. She left the World Cup for NCAA skiing at the University of Utah and was a member of their NCAA championship team in 2017. Her mother, Karen Ghent (Lancaster), was a member of the Nation’s Cup winning US Ski Team from ’80-‘85, and her father, Brad Ghent, was a longtime US ski team coach, and head of volunteers for nearly a decade at the annual Birds of Prey World Cup races in Beaver Creek.
MAX LAMB
Max Lamb grew up in Crested Butte, Colorado, where a love for skiing shaped much of his life. As a junior racer, he earned several national podiums and was honored as the 2009 Colorado All-Star Athlete of the Year and Governor’s Cup Champion. He went on to ski for the University of Utah and the University of Colorado and earning All-American recognition. During his time with the CU Ski Team, he contributed to two NCAA National Championship victories and served as the men’s team captain for the 2013 championship-winning season.
After college, Max found his passion in coaching. He spent years working with athletes at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, helping multiple advance to the US Ski Team and Division I programs. He later coached with the U.S. Ski Team, supporting Europa Cup and World Cup athletes, and continues to contribute to the sport as a member of U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s National Faculty.
Max now lives in Telluride with his family and is a proud father of two, grateful for the opportunities skiing has brought into his life and the community it has given him.
